Town Brush Disposal/Compost Site-Open Days & Hours

The Town of Minocqua’s Brush Disposal/Compost Site is open on Saturdays during the months of May and October, from 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.; and on Saturdays during the months of June, July, August and September from 8:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. A permit to use the site is required and may be obtained at the Minocqua Town Offices during normal business hours. Proof of Minocqua property ownership will be required. NOTE: These hours are different from those offered in the past--please plan your trips accordingly.
Accepted materials: Leaves, pine needles, grass clippings, brush, limbs & trunks not exceeding 6 inches in diameter, clean lumber (no treated, painted or stained wood). Any bagged materials must be emptied and bags taken away with you. Keep brush and limbs separate from lawn rakings.
NOT ACCEPTED: STUMPS, MATERIAL OVER 6 INCHES IN DIAMETER, GARBAGE, WHITE GOODS, BUILDING MATERIALS, PAPER.
The site is a service for Minocqua property owners and all materials must be from property in the Town of Minocqua. Materials may not be brought in from outside the Town of Minocqua.
If picking up compost (black dirt), you must load the material yourself. The site attendant will not load compost for you.
Directions: From the intersection of Highways 51 & 70 West in Minocqua, take Hwy 70 West approximately 6 miles. Turn left on Kilawee Road. Travel a little over one-half mile and the site is on your left (gate and posted signs will be visible).
