TOWN TREASURER

The Town of Minocqua has an opening for its Town Treasurer position due to a retirement. This is an appointed position working in conjunction with the Town Clerk, Town Chairman and other department heads. The Town Treasurer plays an important role in managing Town finances and is responsible for balancing accounts, payments and receipts, deposits to Town accounts, collection of real estate taxes, and accommodations permits. The current treasurer will provide the necessary training for the position. The position is part-time, 15-20 hours per week; however, additional hours are required during the real estate tax collection period between December 15 and January 31. Knowledge of MS Excel and Intuit QuickBooks software is preferred, along with experience in accounting and finance. The Treasurer must be able to interact with the public in a courteous and professional manner. Wage offered will be commensurate with experience. A detailed job description is available HERE. FULL-TIME E-911 TELECOMMUNICATOR

***No Experience Necessary, Will Train!*** The Minocqua Police Department is accepting applications for a full-time E-911 Telecommunicator. This is a civilian position responsible for performing a wide variety of communication-related tasks. Applicants must be 18 years of age, a U.S. citizen, and high school graduate or equivalent. No experience is necessary and training will be provided; however, candidates with dispatching, EMS, fire service, switchboard operations, or radio communication receive preference. Must possess ability to use computers and computer-aided technology. Position requires good listening skills, ability to react quickly and calmly in emergency situations, maintain confidentiality, and work with others in a fast-paced environment. Wage for this full-time position is $21.75 per hour plus a benefits package. Selected candidates undergo a background investigation and drug screen. FULL-TIME (LTE) - COMMUNITY SERVICE OFFICER

The Minocqua Police Department is accepting applications for the position of Community Service Officer. This is a seasonal limited term employee (civilian) position responsible for performing downtown parking enforcement and foot patrol duties. Qualified applicants must be 18 years of age, a U.S. citizen, high school graduate or equivalent, have prior experience and knowledge of computers, and the ability to work varied hours. Applicants must be self-motivated and able to work independently. Work schedule is full-time from Memorial Day through Labor Day, with part-time hours for the month of May and September. "Clean Boats, Clean Waters" Watercraft Inspector

Make a difference! Consider joining the Minocqua-Kawaguesaga Lakes Protection Association "Clean Boats, Clean Water" team. Applications are being accepted to fill three positions for seasonal Watercraft Inspectors at Minocqua Town-owned boat landings. Applicants will be required to attend a training workshop.
