Parks and Other Outdoor Facilities & Calendars

The Town of Minocqua has numerous parks offering a variety of activities.


Minocqua Park Complex

Description: This 27-acre park facility sits on the former “Circle M Corral” property
Location: 10295 Highway 70 West
Amenities: 4 baseball fields with concession stand, two sand volleyball courts, playground, multi-purpose field, open green space, covered pavilion with kitchen and ADA accessible restrooms, picnic tables, grills, seasonal WiFi.


Torpy Park & Beach

Description: 4-acre waterfront park
Location: Downtown Minocqua, 705 Oneida St (Hwy 51)
Amenities: Beach, restrooms, picnic shelters, grills and tables, tennis courts, playground, sand volleyball court, parking area, seasonal concession stand, WiFi.
BEACH USERS ARE ADVISED THAT THERE ARE NO LIFEGUARDS ON DUTY.


Minocqua Ball Park

Description: Baseball field, playground, volleyball. The park also serves as the staging area for the Minocqua 4th of July Parade.
Location: 9615 Fieldstone Dr (along Highway 51 South of the bridge)
Amenities: Baseball field, playground, sand volleyball court, rest rooms.


Dorwin Park

Description: Small and tranquil urban park
Location: Downtown at 503 Flambeau St. on the grounds of the Minocqua Museum.
Amenities: Educational learning center shelter, green space with benches, planters, and walkways.

Minocqua Winter Park

Description: Premier Midwest Nordic ski facility. Town-owned chalet, trailhead and parking lot situated within a 6,500-acre wilderness area.
Location: 7543 Squirrel Hill Rd.
Amenities:
80 kilometers of professionally groomed cross-country ski trails for both skating and diagonal, trail shelters, lighted trails, equipment rental and sales, waxing room, heated chalet with restrooms and concessions. Lift-assisted snow tubing runs,  snowshoe trail, and ice skating pond. Newly-constructed disc golf course.


Aqua Bowl

Description: This bleacher-lined facility on Lake Minocqua is the site of the longest-running amateur water ski show in the nation
Location: 415 W Park Ave.
Amenities: Rest rooms and concessions during Min-Aqua Bats Water Ski Shows.


Fishing Pier

Description: The Town of Minocqua owns and maintains this large public pier, which is a remnant portion of an earlier Highway 51 bridge
Location: 305 E. Park Ave. (adjacent to US Highway 51 bridge on Lake Minocqua).
Amenities: Lighted, handicapped accessible fishing pier, and non-accessible dock for 5 boats, 11 public parking spaces, hand railings with slots for wheelchair accessible fishing, over 4,000 square feet of deck on the pier, section of decking that is wheelchair friendly.


Cedar Park

Description: Half-acre wooded shoreline park
Location: 560 Cedar St. (east of the Schoolhouse Bay boat landing on Lake Minocqua).
Amenities: This park has landscaping, a walkway down the slope to the lake, a picnic table, grill, and pier for fishing and docking.


Bearskin Trailhead Park

Description: Trailhead for the Bearskin State Trail
Location: 615 Bearskin Way (downtown Minocqua behind the U.S. Post Office).
Amenities: Interpretive trailhead, bicycling, snowmobiling, educational learning center, picnic tables, ADA  accessible restrooms, information board.


Veterans Park

Description: Small urban park in central downtown
Location: 230 W. Front St. (downtown Minocqua)
Amenities: Year-round ADA accessible restrooms, green space with benches, veterans memorial, pavilion, picnic table, bicycle rack, vending machine, informational display, WiFi.

Schlecht Lake Ski Trail

Description: This WDNR maintained 10km trail has 3 km lit for night skiing in winter, and is available for hiking in summer. This trail’s natural grassy knolls wind around three lakes and through hardwood forests, making it a spectacular sight in the fall.
Location: 7667 Leary Rd. (just south of downtown Minocqua).

Minocqua Gun Club

Description: Minocqua Gun Club is a not-for-profit, public shooting facility.
Location: 7877 Gun Club Rd., 1.5 miles south of the bridge on Hwy 51 on Gun Club Road
Amenities: Remodeled clubhouse, four trap fields, skeet range, sporting clays, wobble trap, double birds.


Minocqua Museum

Description: Minocqua Museum features displays of Minocqua’s early days and the people who made a difference in the history of our community. Open 10 am – 4pm, Early June to Labor Day

Lakeland Ice Arena

Description: The Lakeland Hawks Ice Arena is a non-profit skating facility that supports the development of skating among people of all ages and abilities. The Arena offers various programs for youth to adults including hockey leagues, open skating, figure skating, and learn to skate programs. A new outdoor ice rink has recently been added to the facility.

Lakeland Area Dog Park

Description: Lakeland Area Dog Park is a 1.65 acre fully fenced dog park. There is a separate area for small and large dogs. The Park gets heavy usage. Approximately 10 parking spaces. Please refrain from parking on the street.
