Real Estate Tax Payments
Minocqua taxpayers receive their real estate and personal property tax bills by mid-December. Once the data becomes available online, your taxes due amount can also be obtained by visiting the Oneida County tax information website.
Paying Your Tax Bill
The deadline for paying your tax bill (at least first installment) is January 31, 2026. NOTE THAT THE 31ST IS A SATURDAY, SO THE ONLY WAY TO PAY ON THAT DAY IS BY POSTMARK AT A US POST OFFICE OR PAYING ONLINE AS SHOWN BELOW.
There are four ways to pay your tax bill:
PAY BY MAIL – Make checks payable to: “TOWN OF MINOCQUA”, 415 Menominee St., Suite 300, Minocqua, WI 54548. Must be postmarked by January 31st, 2026. IF YOU’RE CUTTING IT CLOSE WITH THE DATE, IT IS ADVISED TO ASK YOUR POST OFFICE TO HAND-STAMP THE POSTMARK SINCE MUCH OF TODAY’S MAIL ISN’T POSTMARKED AT THE ORIGINATING POST OFFICE BUT RATHER SENT TO A LARGER FACILITY WHERE IT IS POSTMARKED AFTER THE DATE IT WAS SUBMITTED LOCALLY. MUST INCLUDE A SELF-ADDRESSED STAMPED ENVELOPE IF A PAPER RECEIPT IS NEEDED.
DROP SLOT PAYMENT – A tax payment drop slot is located on the left-front exterior of the Minocqua Center building (along the sidewalk west of the main entrance, near the reading garden). DO NOT PLACE CASH PAYMENTS IN THE DROP SLOT; checks or money orders only please.
ONLINE PAYMENT – Starting in mid-December, you can pay your tax bill online with credit/debit card (2.39% third party vendor service fee), or e-Check ($1.50 fee). To pay using this option, click HERE. Note: This option will not be available after January 31st, 2026.
WALK-IN PAYMENT – In-person payments are accepted at the Town Treasurer’s office, weekdays only, between 9:00AM and 4:00PM, through January 30th, 2026.
NOTE: After January 31st, 2026, all tax payments must be made payable to “Oneida County Treasurer” and mailed or delivered to Oneida County Treasurer, Oneida County Courthouse, P.O. Box 400, Rhinelander, WI 54501. To pay Oneida County Treasurer your second installment payment or delinquent property taxes with credit card (2.39% fee) or e-Check ($1.50 charge), click HERE. Remember, using this link for payments directly to Oneida County Treasurer is ONLY for payments made starting February 1st, 2026, and after.
